Our Awards & Recognition
A family business. A dedicated team. Plenty to be proud of.
When we started Simplifying Cleaning in 2020, we wanted to build a business people could rely on.
One where cleaning is valued, standards matter and the people behind the work genuinely care.
Those values still guide everything we do. Today, we’re proud to be a multi-award-winning commercial cleaning company serving businesses across Lincolnshire.
From being recognised by Theo Paphitis to winning Best Family Business and overall Business of the Year at the Business Hive Great Big Small Awards, each achievement means a great deal to us.
Being named finalists at the North Lincolnshire Business Awards is another part of that story we’re proud to share.
For us, these awards recognise the work that happens every day: our team turning up, taking pride in their work and looking after our clients. They’re shared achievements, and we wouldn’t be here without the people who work alongside us and the businesses that put their trust in us.
Business of the Year 2026
Business Hive Great Big Small Awards
Being named overall Business of the Year at the Business Hive Great Big Small Awards 2026 was a moment we’ll never forget.
Having already celebrated winning the Family Fortunes Award that evening, we had no idea there was another surprise to come. Hearing Simplifying Cleaning announced again, this time as the judges’ overall winner, was completely unexpected.
To be selected from such an incredible group of local businesses made this especially meaningful. As a family-run cleaning company, seeing our work recognised in this way was something very special.
We’ve built this business by being hands-on, caring about the details and delivering on our promises. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes, and this award felt like recognition of all that effort.
We’re incredibly proud to share it with our team, whose hard work helps make Simplifying Cleaning what it is, and grateful to our clients for continuing to put their trust in us.
Thank you to Business Hive and the judges for a wonderful surprise and a very memorable evening.
Family Fortunes Award 2026
Business Hive Greta Big Small Awards
With three generations of our family working within Simplifying Cleaning, winning the Family Fortunes Award at the Great Big Small Awards is something we’re especially proud of.
Being a family business means a great deal to us.
From our earliest days, we’ve worked together, supported one another through the challenges and shared the pride of seeing the business grow.
Each generation has played a part in that journey, bringing their own experience, ideas and commitment.
For founders James and Kelly, this award is a recognition of the hard work that happens behind the scenes and the family values that have helped shape Simplifying Cleaning from the beginning. Being able to share that moment with family members and our team made it even more meaningful.
That same sense of responsibility extends to the people who work with us and the clients who trust us with their premises. We take pride in being approachable, staying involved and delivering a service that reflects the standards we’ve built our name on.
As Simplifying Cleaning continues to grow, we’re proud to carry those values forward. Winning this award is a special milestone for our family, our team and the business we’re building together.
Theo Paphitis
Small Business Sunday Award 2026
In February 2026, Simplifying Cleaning was selected by Theo Paphitis as a Small Business Sunday (#SBS) winner, joining a national community of small businesses recognised through his initiative.
With resilience a particular focus that year, this recognition felt especially meaningful. Building a business means adapting when things don’t go to plan, finding solutions and continuing to deliver through the challenges. As a family business, we know how much determination and support that takes.
What began as an idea to offer something better has grown through hard work, hands-on leadership and a commitment to looking after our clients and our team. Being recognised beyond our local area was a proud moment for everyone involved.
We’ve always believed that the details matter: taking the time to train people properly, checking standards, being available when clients need us and stepping in ourselves when needed. Maintaining those commitments, even during difficult periods, is something we take real pride in.
Small business champion Theo Paphitis said:
“We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK.
“My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club;
like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings. The website will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish Simplifying Cleaning Ltd every success.”
Becoming an #SBS winner means joining that supportive network, with opportunities to share experiences, learn from other business owners and build valuable connections.
North Lincolnshire Business Awards 2026 –
Best Small Business Runner-Up
Simplifying Cleaning was proud to be named Runner-Up in the Best Small Business category at the Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce North Lincolnshire Business Awards 2026.
As a local, family-run business, being recognised alongside other businesses in our region means a great deal to us. It’s a proud milestone that reflects the work we’ve put into building a company our clients can rely on and our team can be proud to be part of.
Every member of our team contributes to that reputation. From the care they take on site to their commitment to maintaining our standards, their everyday efforts make achievements like this possible.
This recognition celebrates how far we’ve come and gives us further motivation as we continue to grow across Lincolnshire, maintaining the quality, reliability and personal service that have shaped Simplifying Cleaning from the beginning.
